Tamara
Violinist
Tamara Auer is an Australian violinist and violist who has a wealth of experience performing in various groups both locally and overseas. She received her Master degree in Music Performance from the University of North Dakota in 2017, and a Bachelor of Music Performance degree from the ‘Conservatorio di Musica “Giuseppe Verdi” di Milano’ in Milan in 2015. During her visits to Sydney, Tamara performs in numerous productions including:

In 2013 while living in Italy Tamara was invited to perform in the ‘Rencontres Musicales de Mediterranee’ festival in Corsica where she performed Verdi’s String Quartet and Serenade for Strings by Tchaikovsky with students from the Milan Conservatory. In 2014 she performed in a production of J.S. Bach’s St John Passion at the Cathedral of Sant’ Ambrogio in Milan, the opera La Serva Padrona for the MITO fringe festival in Milan and she was also principal violist in the Orchestra Mahler’s touring production of the Marriage of Figaro in Frankfurt, Germany. In May 2015 Tamara was awarded first prize in the String Quartet category of the ‘National Chamber Music Competition for Young Performers in Milan. She also performed in a production of the Barber of Seville at the annual Arona festival ‘Fiera del Lago Maggiore’ with the orchestra Streler conducted by Paolo Marchese. In August 2015 and 2016 she performed as a soloist at the Prague Summer Music Festival in the Czech Republic, and ‘Suoni delle Madonie’ Festival in Sicily, Italy. Currently Tamara plays violin in the Lake Como String Quartet.
Giacomo
Cellist
Giacomo Molteni started studying cello at age 11 and graduated from Conservatorio G.Verdi in Milan in 2013. He attended masterclasses in L’Aquila with Professor Diego Liberati and in San Marco di Castellabate with professor Nicoletta Mainardi. In 2010 he won a scholarship to play in a series of concerts at Campus degli Incamminati in Modigliana. In 2007 and 2008 he played with Accademia Internazionale Musica orchestra with Conductor Massimo Mazza, performing numerous concerts in Lombardia, Italy. From 2010 to 2013 he worked as music editor at Carisch S.p.A. In 2011 he played with Orchestra Arcadia in Lugano, performing concerts in Cantonticino and other locations including Mendrisio, Ascona, Lugano and Melide. He played in numerous concerts with the Conservatorio G.Verdi Symphony Orchestra in Milan. From October 2012 he attended Accademia dell’Annunciata di Abbiategrasso, playing numerous concerts in Italy, in locations such as Teatro Castagnoli in Scansano, Teatro Cagnoni in Vigevano, and Teatro Nuovo in Milan. In September 2013 he played Haydn’s Concert in C major as a soloist in Rivolta d’Adda as part of the event ‘Facciate in Scena’. From 2014 he participated in opera productions with the ‘Orchestra del Conservatorio G.Nicolini’ in Piacenza and was awarded an assistantship role to accompany chamber music classes at the conservatory as an external player. Currently he plays with Orchestra Sinfolario Città Di Lecco, Orchestra Sinfonica di Lecco, Università degli studi dell’Insubria in Como, Giovanile Rotariana “Rotary distretto Milano Ovest” and with numerous recording studios in Milano and surrounding areas. Giacomo has been a member of the Lake Como String Quartet for five years.
Pietro
Violist
Pietro started playing the violin at a young age, studying with Stefan Coles at Accademia Europea di Musica in Erba, and at Conservatory “G. Verdi” in Como. Following this he studied viola at Conservatory “G.Verdi” di Milano and with Maestro Iakov Zats, completing his music degree in 2013. He has been part of several chamber music groups and orchestras including Quartetto di Como, Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana, Orchestra Cantelli, Pommersfelden collegium Musicum Orchestra, Orchestra Arcadia, and he had opportunity to play in important places such as the Ancient Theatre of Taormina, Prinzregententheater (Munich), Sala Verdi (Milano),Teatro Dal Verme (Milano), Università gregoriana (Roma), Sala Nervi (Città del Vaticano), Teatro Sociale of Como, and Chapelle de Rédemptoristes (Paris). He has always had a keen interest in chamber music, founding the Quartetto di Como and working with several ensembles with which performed in several festivals in Italy, Switzerland, France, Germany, and the Czech Republic. In 2012 he was selected with his quartet to attend the “Collegium Musicum of Pommersfelden” in Bavaria, and subsequently he worked in “Recontre avec l’Italie” poject in order to tour, gain exposure for, and promote Italian chamber music in some french Cities. He regularly performs duo recitals with pianists such as Vsevolod Dvorkin and Emanuele Lotti. As a soloist, he performed the Stamitz concerto for viola in 2016 with the West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra. He has attend several masterclasses around Europe with important viola players including Iakov Zats, Bruno Giuranna, and Jurgen Weber.
Davide
Violinist
Davide Moro, nato nel 1995, inizia lo studio della musica all’età di 6 anni. Frequenta il conservatorio “F. Cilea” di Reggio Calabria, diplomandosi in violino con il massimo dei voti e la lode sotto la guida del M. Riccardo Sasso. Successivamente ha frequentato l’Accademia del Talento di Desio seguito dal M. Iakov Zats. A settembre 2017 ha terminato il Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy presso il Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana sotto la guida del maestro Pavel Berman per il violino ed Anna Modesti per la didattica.
Ha frequentato diversi corsi di perfezionamento con maestri quali Feng Ning, Vilehlmas Cepinskis, Roman Fedchuk, Giacobbe Stevanato, Tamas Maior, Sonig Tchakerian, Giuliano Fontanella, Carlo Lazzari e con ensemble cameristiche quali l’Ex-novo Ensemble, il Quartetto Bernini, il Nuovo Quartetto Italiano, Aldo Campagnari (Quartetto Prometeo).
Si è esibito in diverse rassegne musicali sia in veste solistica che cameristica, in Italia e all’estero. Ha suonato in occasioni quali il Prague Summer Music Festival, Festival Internazionale di musica da camera Suoni delle Madonie, Noto Music Festival, Rassegna Brianza classica, RaddaEstate, Amusicnet.
Ha collaborato e collabora con orchestre come quelle del Teatro F. Cilea, l’Orchestra del Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana, Teatro Olimpico di Vicenza, facendosi dirigere da maestri quali A. Lonquich, T. Netopil, V. Verbitsky, A.Tamayo, Pavel Berman, Xian Zhang. I primo premio al concorso internazionale “Paolo Serrao” della città di Filadelfia, III premio al “Barlassina International Young Talents Competition”.
Recentemente ha fondato il trio d’archi Quia Musica e all’attività concertistica affianca quella pedagogica. Attualmente è docente in diverse scuole musicali in Italia e in Svizzera.
