Elegant live music for weddings and events across Northern Italy

Lake Como String Quartet provides live music for weddings and events on Lake Como and throughout northern Italy. Formed in 2009 by Australian violinist Tamara Auer, a graduate of the Milan Conservatory, the group is made up of professional conservatory-trained musicians based in Como.

We specialise in high-quality, customised ceremony and reception music, tailored to each couple’s preferences – from timeless classical to modern pop arrangements.

Ensemble options

• String Quartet – 2 violins, viola, cello

• String Trio – violin, viola, cello

• String Duo – violin, cello

• Strings with Piano – e.g. violin + piano, trio + piano, or quartet + piano

• Solo Piano or Solo Violin available on request

These combinations are suitable for:

Repertoire

Many couples choose the classic elegance of a string trio or quartet for their ceremony, then add modern favourites for the aperitivo. Alongside our extensive classical repertoire, Lake Como String Quartet performs customised arrangements of well-known songs, inspired by ensembles such as the Vitamin String Quartet (the music used in Bridgerton) and Stringspace.
