Lake Como String Quartet provides elegant live music for weddings and events across Lake Como and the surrounding regions of northern Italy. Our ensemble features professional musicians trained at the Milan Conservatory, available as a string quartet, string trio, string duo, or strings with piano for an even richer, more cinematic sound.

Founded in 2009 by Tamara Auer, an Australian violinist and Milan Conservatory graduate, the group is based in Como and specialises in high-quality, personalised wedding ceremony music. Every performance is tailored to the couple—whether you prefer timeless classical selections, romantic Italian classics, or a modern orchestral feel inspired by Bridgerton, Vitamin String Quartet, and Stringspace.

In addition to an extensive classical repertoire, we offer hundreds of custom arrangements of contemporary songs for strings or strings + piano. Many couples love the elegance of a trio or quartet for the ceremony, paired with lush, cinematic arrangements for the aperitivo or reception.
